Babess had her first iceblock today. It was the sort that comes in a plastic sleeve, with no stick in it. This one was frozen fruit juice. The other children were all having one, and I wouldn’t have given her one, thinking it would be wasted, but her young cousin handed her one and she was very keen to try, so we opened it for her.
She set into it with happy determination, and only lost a small portion when the top fell off. There was minor consternation when she had eaten enough that the rest disappeared down into the plastic, but we trimmed it for her and she kept going. She finished hers well before Pearl and her cousin had finished theirs, and Fainjin only ate about the top 1/8th of his.
I think she’s getting a new tooth or two, so I suppose it felt quite good in her mouth, and it was a hot day. The iceblock certainly wasn’t wasted!

I love it when they discover a new food or sensation. Does she eat grapes? Frozen grapes are all kinds of awesome.

She does, but she is so little that one grape is a mega-mouthful for her! It’s very funny to watch. I don’t think she would handle a frozen one – no chewing room. We’ll be sure to remember for later on, though.

Maybe cut up grapes and then freeze them?
We are freezing apple juice and lemonade to make home made icy poles for our girls. They are really enjoying making their own
