Pearl has gone to stay with Nana and Poppa for a couple of nights. It’s part of being a Big Girl and learning some independence from Mum and Dad (and it gives us a bit of a break as well).
So we drove out there, and everyone enjoyed a short-ish visit with Nana and Poppa, then Fainjin and especially Babess started showing signs of being tired, so we took them home.
We were half-way home when Fainjin suddenly sat up straighter in his car-seat and shouted, “Mama! Pearl has to come home too!”
I think he thought we’d forgotten her. It’s a sign of just how tired he was that it took him that long to notice she wasn’t sitting beside him.
