At least he does go to sleep

Fainjin has developed a passion for sleeping on the floor.  He quietly climbs out of his cot, moves to the doorway and lies down on the carpet behind the door, and falls asleep.  We discover him there when we go to check on him and Babess later and find we can’t open the door.  Luckily it is always held ajar by a doorstopper, so we can at least stick an arm through and gently roll him away.

I don’t know why he does it.  He’s not watching the TV through the door, and I’m pretty sure he moves when he’s half-asleep and falls all-the-way-asleep as soon as he gets there.  Our carpet isn’t particularly soft or anything that would make it more pleasant than his bedding.

I’m sure he’ll grow out of it eventually.

Two of my three kids regularly fall asleep on the floor. The oldest most often. It’s weird. But I figure, how bad for him can it be?
