Fainjin has always been fascinated by the moon. Even as a baby, he would point to it whenever it was visible, or appeared in a book, and “moon” was one of his first words. So it’s little surprise he liked the planetarium so much.
The other day, as we were walking to school, he was craning his neck upward, not looking where he was going. “What are you doing?” I asked.
“I looking for da moon,” he replied. It wasn’t visible, at that point.
He looked for a little bit longer, then gazed at me full of chagrin. “It’s lost! Oh no Mama, I lost da moon!”
