I have a sheet of little heart stickers that I am using as rewards for Babess in toilet training.  When she uses the toilet, she gets a sticker on her hand.  She loves choosing which colour sticker she will have, and we make a big production out of it all.

Pearl got a letter today, from friends in the US.  Included were some stickers.  Pearl was absolutely thrilled, so excited to read the letter and delighted with the stickers.

Then something quite amazing happened.  Pearl was showing the letter and stickers to Babess, who was duly admiring them.  Pearl looked at her seriously, thought for a minute, then said, “Babess, if you go to the toilet tonight before bed, you can have one of my new butterfly stickers.  Would you like that?”

You betcha.  One of big sister’s brand new butterfly stickers?  That has to beat Mum’s little heart stickers, any day!

Sure enough, Babess now has a butterfly sticker on her hand.  Perhaps I should just leave the toilet training up to Pearl – she’d do a great job.

They were indeed! Pearl was dancing on air to have a letter from you two today 🙂 I doubt that the Pegasus stickers will be handed over to Babess, though. Those are being kept for Something Special.

Hooray! I really mus get better about timely correspondence. Sending real letters back and forth is much more fun than electronic notes. Plus, you can’t email stickers.
