Babess decided that she would read the bedtime stories this evening. She chose three “little monkeys” books, and we all sat on the couch with her in the middle.
First she read “Five Little Monkeys With Nothing To Do“, and did a great (and very cute) job of telling a story about the pictures.
Then she started to read “Five Little Monkeys Jumping On The Bed” – but she started at the back, talking about the pictures then turning pages back so the number of monkeys increased as her story went on.
Fainjin wasn’t very happy about this. He tried to interrupt her a few times, then blurted out, “No, Babess, you’re not going forward! You’re doing it backwards!”
“Oh!” said Babess. She promptly turned the book upside-down and carried merrily on, upside backwards. Fainjin and I looked at each other and just laughed.
