Fainjin had his 4-year-old vaccinations today. He raided the doctor’s toybox first, and clutched two Spidermen and a train to help him be brave. There was a little bit of resistance none the less, some tears and a “No! I don’t want it!”, but overall he was fairly good.
Jellybeans were duly dispensed by medical authorities (the nurse keeps a stash), and big sister comforted him by finding a sticker (and of course asked whether she might also have jellybeans, since she was quite brave watching the whole ordeal).
Then it was off to the library cafe for a restorative biscuit and fluffy. After all, a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down – and I hadn’t had any jellybeans!
