Not quite manna

Our Sunday paper is often delivered quite late in the morning (for a newspaper), and casually chucked from a moving car, so can land in a tree or short of our gate, or somewhere invisible in the garden.  It’s quite annoying, especially as our Monday-Saturday delivery-person is expert at landing it in the middle of the driveway and is reliably done by 6am.

This morning, Pearl and I had already left for church before the paper arrived.  Fainjin happened to be looking out the front window when the delivery was made, and saw the paper come flying over the front fence.  He evidently did not see it first come out of the car window, though, because he excitedly ran to The Dad to tell him:

“Dad, Dad, the paper’s here!  It’s here!  It fell out of the sky!!!”
