The first day of the winter school holidays is for
-sleeping in
-playing with Lego
-watching movies and tv most of the afternoon (while also playing with Lego)
-having play picnics in the lounge and hall and bedroom
-shutting yourself in your bedroom and listening to CDs while reading library books
-having smiley-bear pikelets for afternoon tea

I draw the face in the pan first – with a teaspoon and a small amount of batter – wait until it has started to brown, then spoon more batter over to make the face & ears. It’s a bit fiddly, but rather fun.

I forgot to say: Those look suspiciously like the Mickey Mouse pancakes my grandfather used to make me. π
