We’re back! We had a great trip, met so many wonderful new friends and had lovely catch-ups with old ones, saw heaps and learnt more.
The trip home from Los Angeles was looooong, made worse by a three-hour-plus delay and then strong headwinds so that the flight was 14 hours long when I was mentally prepared for “just” 12 or 13. But the missed connection was rebooked smoothly and we arrived home without further incident.
I have completely lost my voice. I’m not quite sure whether it’s a headcold – my nose is blocked but it often is after a long flight anyway – or perhaps just from talking over all the noise at Disneyland. Quite possibly it’s a bit of both.
Babess doesn’t really understand that I can’t help it. Whenever I talk to her, she whispers back! We sound very conspiratorial.
I’ll write more about our fantastic trip soon – I need to fight off the jetlag first.

Hi kate, you are really a great mom! Traveling with three children. And it is a long trip! But I know it will always be a good trip with children. I have two boys and we have done some traveling too but only one to two hours flight. We will have another trip on the end of this month.

Hi Yulia! Thanks! But there’s no *way* I would voluntarily travel alone with all three of them. My goodness! This trip was just the “big girls” – Pearl and me. Much more reasonable 🙂
Thanks for reading and commenting!
